GazelleHost has grown from a single desktop server serving a handful of client's accounts to a fast growing provider of shared, VPS and dedicated web hosting as well as Domain Name Registration and Management and Comprehensive Marketing and Design Services. We built our brands slowly and organically to always under-promise and over-deliver. Gazelle Brands include GazelelHost, GazelleSurf, Cityhood and Choiceville.
One account at a time... since 2001.
The company was founded around May 2001 by Rob Maroszek. Service, Freedom and Flexibility for every client. The industry has come a long way since then, and manual process of entering customer requests and setting up hosting accounts was eventually replaced by full or partial automation, but the personal touch at GazelleHost remained.
2004 - Shared co-located data centre
A small commercial-grade data centre was located in the Midwest as well as a secondary one in Germany. We started implementing early cloud-like solutions and document management automation platforms. The company based on LAMP setup started offering automated scripts and templates. One of the areas of focus became co-location and trying to address the issue of database latency.
2008 to 2010 - We're expanding
Operation and customer base expanded organically over the years. New automation software allowed for faster account setup, instant domain registration, more flexibility for the client through cPanel control. Windows hosting became available creating a new platform choice for clients and partners.
GazelleHost office opened in Melbourne, Australia. We also got a website face-lift and new logo.
2011 - Anniversary
The company celebrates its 10th year. To our surprise, neither Microsoft nor any other Fortune 500 company sent us a congratulatory card. To this day we believe they are still in the mail.
2014 - The Year of Platform Partnerships
Our company continued forming strategic partnerships with IT vendors and Service Providers. Read more (Partnership Announcement).
2015 - The Year of Security.
The focus of 2015 was platform stability, security and user safety. We invested in more robust security measures, fierwalls, anti-malware and anti-spam methodologies.
2016 - The Year of Something New.
We cannot reveal more at this point, but we have something very exciting planned for this year.
